Gossip Girl Style

Now that the season is over, fashionistas are wondering what Eric Daman has in mind for next season's wardrobe. Of course we are talking about the teen favorite tv show Gossip Girl! The diversity of Daman's styling pics makes the world go around, easily! And if you're not so radical to say that, then at least it keeps lots of the watchers engaged, wondering what will be the next wow piece!

I have recently discovered a collage like website called polyvore.com and found one of my favorite outfits that Serena van der Woodsen wore, otherwise played by Blake Lively!

Issey Miyake pleated pants
144 GBP - farfetch.com

It was the opening of this past season, and she wore a blue Issey Miyake SS 2010 polyester pantalone. Maybe it was the color, that Serena is often known for wearing, or the chic and magical fact that S+B had spent a summer in Paris; whatever it was, Serena definitely made me want to buy those pants! Great choice Eric Daman!!

I have included the picture of the polyvore collages with the pants, gotta love them!

Chanel Cruise Show

Chanel will eternally be my love! I desire to own these little jackets every time!
"You need to loosen up and lose the corset" is probably my favorite line in the film, which is very cohesive with Chanel's Cruise Show giving off a more relaxed beach vibe to the well known Fashion House.

Here are some of the Looks from the Show!

Look of The Day

Hello!
Amidst AP Testing and Finals I find some time to post!
instyle.com has 'looks of the day' and although my liking for some are questionable, I love this one!
The bare makeup along with Lake Bell's nonchalant posture, and the overall minimalist trend of this simple but chic look makes my heart skip a beat!

Lake Bell wore this tunic and braided sandals to Irene Neuwirth's diamond collection launch at Barney's April 30th!
Enjoy,
xoxo C.

Tonight Is The Night

Hi People!
As we all know, the Met Ball is happening right now. The most important night in fashion marks the start of a new exposition of The Costume Institute at Metropolitan Museum. And this year's exposition is about no one less than McQueen.
This post has some images of the exposition, and tomorrow I will post all my favourite looks.

Love this one!

The Royal Wedding

The Most Talked About Wedding of the Year!

No doubt you've already seen all the wedding pictures, watched the ceremony, read all the blogs and the newspaper/magazine articles on Catherine Middleton and Prince William's wedding at Westminster Wedding yesterday, but just in case you missed it, here is a short recap.

She was wearing a gorgeous 9ft train wedding gown with long sleeved flowered lace by Sarah Burton, the designer at Alex McQueen after his suicide last year.
She was also wearing ESSIE nail polish called Allure, which will probably never be seen again in stores considering the world is going crazy to get it!
Most importantly if not the dress, is the Tiara that she borrowed from the Queen of England, which was never heard of before, a commoner wearing a Tiara, especially before the wedding!

Kate was gorgeous and very had a chic royal stance for a 'commoner' as the Brits call one that is not of Royal blood, and the wedding was a gorgeous ceremony! Hope you all enjoyed watching it!

Bryant Park on a Warm Winter Day

Hello Fashionistas!
It's been awhile for both Rafi and I, we have been very involved with school and trips, but I promise to get back to writing more often!
Today just a quick look from my recent NYC trip! I will post more of them later!
Although very simplistic and minimalist, the scarf gives a transitioning look from winter to spring!
Somehow I managed to fight through the cold and do some shopping! I went to one of my favorite stores, H&M, very affordable and trendy, I love the many styles the store has to offer; hence the pants are from there! Not only very cutee, but they are SO comfortable! The shoes I've had for awhile, my Vera Wang black flats I just wont get rid of!
Hope you enjoy the rest of your week,
xoxo C.

Look of The Day

Hi people!
This is what I wore today, to go have dinner. You all know I have a very feminine and kinda classic style, and that I am not bold at all, but something inside of me wanted to feel different, so I paired this Seven for All Mankind, instead of a simple black cardigan, over my Zara lace skirt, worn with the same shoes I wore yesterday, by Constaça Basto. I hope you like it.
Xoxo, Rafi.

Oi meninas.
Beijinhos, Rafi.

Look of The Day + Nail Colour of The Week

Hi guys!
Today's look is what I wore to go to the movies. It is still very hot in Rio, so I wore a silk blouse I love from DVF, DKNY skinny jeans, Constança Basto shoes and Salvatore Ferragamo bag.
I watched No Strings Attached, starring Natalie Portman, one of my favourite actresses of her generation (it has nothing to do with the fact that she's 5 foot tall like me, I swear). It is a good movie, nice romantic comedy, the kind of movie I like.
And also my nail colour is Blue Satin, unfortunaly it looks as though as it was black on my nails, unless you give a close look at it.
Xo, Rafi.

Oi!
Beijos Rafi.

Emmanuelle Alt's First Vogue Cover

Emmanuelle Alt, EIC of Vogue Paris, signs her first cover after Carine's departure. No one less than Gisele Bundchen is on the cover. She was photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin wearing a Dolce&Gabbana dress from the spring summer 2011 collection.

Now lets wait till March 25th to get our issue.
 Xo, Rafi

Chloe Live from Paris

As mentioned before, it is Paris Fashion Week.
Today at 10am NY time, 4pm Paris time was the Chloe Autumn 2011 Fashion Show. I had to watch it, so I remained in Photography Class and got excused to miss English Literature for it, as it is counting as a ' project ' since I am writing a review. Those are the advantages of an Art School !
The show pictures aren't up yet, but once they are I will post my favorite looks.
You can rewatch it at www.chloe.com.

Enjoy,
xoxo C.

Dior Fashion Show

After a long tense week in the fashion world, Christian Dior`s show happened today in Paris.
Despite the rumors that Galliano hadn`t finished the colletion, the runway was filled with looks, a little bit less incredible than the ones from other seasons, but still flawless. It debuted a more serene atmosphere, without all that excentricity.
The Rodin Museum probably never had had so much attention as it had today. The street was crowded with photographers and curious people from all over the world.
It is sad to see such a talented designer do such thing as he did, but we must all know that he does not speak for the brand, and definetively doesn`t stand the brand`s position.

Nail Colour of The Week

Hi People!
I just had my nails done, and loved this colour. Ming, from Chanel, is a light pink shimmery shade. It's so feminine and cute, hope it lasts for a while.

Sorry about the terrible BlackBerry pictures, but I didn't have my camera on the salon.

Diane Von Furstenberg

A very known fashion stylist Rachel Zoe recently interviewed designer Diane Von Furstenberg, right after her NY Fall 2011 Ready to Wear Fashion Show on February 13th.
Her Fall Collection, called "American Legends" was in no way minimalist.
Here is one of the looks from this season that shows her use of prints and color.

Here is a little insight into Diane's world and the chaos of NYFW:

RZ: Growing up, who were the people who inspired you?
DVF: My mother was and has been the most influential inspiration in my life, mostly because she taught me that 'fear is not an option'.

RZ: What started with your first iconic wrap dress in the '70s is now a global luxury line...in your own words, how has the DVF woman changed from then to now? Where do you see her going next?
DVF: The DVF woman has always been very individual. She's always in the driver's seat...active, seductive, and above all confident. When I first started my career it was the time of women's liberation...all was ahead of us!! But women are women and somehow not much has changed.

RZ: How do you prepare for the insanity that is New York Fashion Week? What is your favorite part?
DVF: I usually prepare by doing a lot of yoga. Fashion shows are so useful because they force you to edit and to present a collection in a concise way. It's a presentation to the press and to the stores that sell your clothes...it is so exciting!!!

RZ: I have personally looked up to you throughout my entire career, and now many of my Zoe Report readers do too. What advice would you give to any of them who are planning for a profession in the fashion industry?
DVF: Be confident!! The industry is growing and new, young talent is emerging, but fashion will always remain a mysterious thing...it reflects the contemporary period you live in, the mood of the time, the way people want to project themselves, it's ever-evolving...

New York Fall Winter 2011 2012 Fashion Week 2

After an entire day reading on twitter how extraordinary Marc Jacobs' show had been, I found some time on my senior school girl schedule to go to VogueParisLive and see what one of my favourite designers had come up with this season. I must say that the first looks didin't captivate me much, but as any great artist, Marc gave us a blast, a sparkle, what made me remember why I love creations so much.
I'll post some of my favourite looks here(not as many photos as on my last post).

As seen in Jason Wu's show as well, the polka dot tights are a must have for winter.

All this texture is just too perfect for me, the diferent kind of lace is making me go insane here.

Want all this coats, please Brazillian summer, go away and never come back.

My favourite look from the show, absolutely divine!

Xo,Rafi

Simplesmente divino!

Looks of The Day

InStyle.com has daily looks they pick of their favorite fashionistas at the best fashion and culture events. I have chosen three of my favorite looks from my favorite girls to display. As Rafi focuses on Fashion Week, I will look elsewhere to inspire you !

Alexa Chung: Black and White at Barney's
The oversized blazer goes perfect with the little black shorts and the striped heels, the blue clutch gives it a splash of color! So chic, so loving it !

Whitney Port: All black and leather.
From her days of The Hills, and then her own show The City, Whitney's style has always captured me with its simplicity but chicness. Although rough biker look, the leather jacket and boots are very appropriate for ending this winter warm and in style!

Leighton Meester: Giambattista Valli, Olive and Black Minimalism
We can't forget Queen B! Every Monday night, as I enjoy my hour of Uptown Drama on the CW, Blair never fails to surprise me with impeccable style! Real life Blair, Leighton, adds python heels to her Valli look while at an interview at Apple's Soho Store. Are we in love?! I think so.

Hope you enjoy the looks,
Will be back soon with more inspiration!
xoxo, C

New York Fall Winter 2011 2012 Fashion Week

As we already know, New York Fall Winter 2011 2012 Fashion Week is going on, and I selected some of my favourite looks to show you here. So far my favourite shows were Jason Wu, Ruffian and Wes Gordon. Also liked very much Luca Luca, M Patmos knits and Steve Alan's preppy looks.

Jason Wu

I'm sorry about the many photos on this post, but I really couldn't choose to pick just a few, all pieces are exquisite! Simple cuts, ravishing texture!

Ruffian

And Wes Gordon, whose idea to make the models look as though as they were sculputures in a museum is amusing!

The three shows were my favourite for a simple reason, I love lady like looks, and the classic meets boyish looks incredible here.
You can find the complete fashion week looks on style.com or on Vogue Paris Live.
Xo, Rafi.
